About the place :
Brahmins’ Coffee Bar at Shankarapuram doesn’t need any introduction to the idli lovers of Bengaluru! This iconic shop has been South Bengaluru’s favorite since its establishment in 1965.
As you step into Brahmin’s Coffee Bar, you will be greeted by the aroma of freshly brewed filter coffee and the sound of bustling lively conversations. The ambiance is simple yet inviting and filled with locals and tourists alike.
The menu has remained unchanged since its establishment with filter Coffee, Kesari Bath, Khara Bath, and our favorite – Idli & Vade!
These items are all served with their signature coconut chutney in a traditional tumbler. The coconut chutney is so popular that it has a separate counter where you can take multiple servings as many times as you want!
Brahmin’s coffee bar has neither parking nor seating arrangement, however, the roads of Shankarpura offer sufficient parking space, and you can see the neatly parked cars on the roadside.
The focus here is on the quality of the food rather than extravagant ambiance or elaborate presentations. It’s a place where the flavors of their food speak for themselves.
Additional Tips:
- Make your idli’s tastier with Butter – all an extra 5 bucks. Mention this while you pay your bills
- You can customize your filter coffee according to your taste – we suggest you try the “less decoction with no sugar” version.
