MTR Cutlet – Review
Appearance
From the moment it arrived at the table, the cutlet surely looked visually appealing, with a delicate coating of Semolina, and was served with tamarind chutney.

MTR Cutlet – Taste
The first bite with the tamarind chutney was an explosion of flavors and reminded me of the cutlets of old Bangalore, that are no longer available these days. The seasoning was perfectly balanced, with a hint of spice that didn’t overpower the dish but complemented it well. The boiled vegetables which include carrot, beetroot, and potato were cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The freshness of the ingredients was evident, and it wasn’t overly greasy, at least I could hardly find any trace of oil.

MTR Cutlet – Innovation
What stood out about this MTR cutlet was its old Bangalore charm of the boiled local veggies and the semolina coating, which added a modern flair, making it feel fresh and exciting but remaining true to its original taste. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into the creation of this dish, and it’s a welcome addition to the menu – to celebrate the MTR centenary!
