About the place :
If you want to enjoy authentic Namma Bangalore Sagu masala dose with aromatic fresh filter coffee – then head to MLTR on DVG Road. A lesser-known but a great alternative to Vidyarthi Bhavan, this place offers an old Bangalore charm of the 1960s era.
Oozing an old Bangalore charm, this legendary restaurant was established in 1926. Once you step in, the wooden tables/ chairs give you the old-school ambiance with nostalgic vibes. The menu is neatly written on a large wooden plank with pricing. Going by the delicious fare, the place is almost fairly crowded so don’t be surprised.
Start with the sagu masala dose and fluffy khali dose which are the top favourites. While the sagu masala dose & Khali dosa are their specialties – The benne masala dose is also a must-try.
The sambar goes extremely well with the soft and fluffy dosa which all but melts in the mouth. If you want something light order their yummy khara bath or soft idlis – that would melt in your mouth. The Khara bath and idlis taste better with their crunchy vadas.
Finish your breakfast on a sweet note – with traditional Bengaluru sweets like Jamun, Carrot halwa, or Kesari bath. Oh, and don’t forget the freshly brewed filter coffee Coffee.
